WARNING! These scenes contain violence and graphic content. View at your own risk. Greatest. Martial. Arts. Movie. Of. All. Time. Do not argue otherwise. You’re opinion is invalid. This movie is the reason I got into martial arts, and although my fighting style as evolved way past any obvious Bruce influences, it’s place in inspiring thousand and thousands of martial artists over the years cannot be overlooked. The story line to the movie is ridiculous, most of the fight scenes are over the top and typical of the era, but, the opening scene is a different story. It’s choreography is definitely silly, but there are a couple small things that showcase why Bruce was so ahead of his time. First, notice the use of the Kenpo gloves, which are essentially a very early design of modern MMA gloves. Second, Bruce uses a sloppy (but still pretty legitimate) arm bar submission...

WARNING! These scenes contain violence. Viewer discretion is advised. Most fans of the Bourne movies are more than familiar with the famous fight scene from the first film in the series, where Jason Bourne’s weapon of choice is a pen (don’t worry, that one is coming up soon 🙂 ), but my personal favorite is Bourne vs Desh from the Bourne Ultimatum. The choreography of the first film is great, but I think this one a bit more raw, and I like that. As great as it is, it’s not without it’s flaws. The major flaw being the use of a book as an improvised weapon. Overall, not a bad choice, but there’s a part that always bugged me about it, and the first person to correctly guess what it is gets a FREE t-shirt!! Enjoy!

WARNING! These scenes contain violence. Viewer discretion is advised. Some people prefer Tom’s fight scenes in the Mission Impossible films, or even Jack Reacher, I will always be partial to Collateral. Tom’s character is brutal and the fight scenes reflect that. This is a longer clip but the build up is part of the suspense. This film also usually get high praise from the firearms community for his extremely realistic gun handling skills. We may save those for a future installment 🙂 but feel free to check them out on your own. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/tTcrJdZgyUk

WARNING! These scenes contain violence. Viewer discretion is advised. Not much to say about this one. It’s a classic. It’s fun, has great choreography, and the song choice couldn’t be better. Look for a decent amount of elbows, knees, headbutts, and improvised weapons.

WARNING! These scenes contain violence. Viewer discretion is advised. Some FEMALE POWER for week 3! Atomic Blonde. Some of my favorite fight scenes from the last few years. Great choreography, great performance from Charlize Theron, and lot’s of realism portrayed here. Directed by David Leitch, the same guy who directed John Wick, this is basically the female version of that movie. The big difference is that Atomic Blonde focuses it’s fight scenes more on hand-to-hand combat whereas John Wick is more gun fighting. Maybe we’ll see a John Wick FSOTW in the future, even though I’m not a huge fan 🙂   Enjoy!
